It is study to a large painting was executed around 1875 and due to the manner, style, historical composition  and colour scheme is very close to the similar studies by Hans Makart (1840-1884), important Austrian represantative of Historicism or a painter from his circle. The author depicted the Venetian courtyard with figures.
