Large classical style still life with different fruits is a typical work by famous Austrian still life and flower painter Johann Gorg Seitz (1810 Nuernberg - 1970 Vienna).
Literature: Prof. H.Fuchs "Die Österreichische Maler des 19 und 20 Jahrhunderts", Vienna, 1975.
Inscription: unsigned, old inscription on the reverse of stretcher with artists name.
Technique: oil on canvas , splendid gold-plated original period (so called "ochsen-augen") frame.
Measurements: unframed w 27 1/4" x h 22" ( 69 x 56 cm), framed w 33 1/2" x h 30 " (85 x 76 cm).
