Masterfully still life with sea fishes was executed in 1879 by listed French painter Adolphe Jourdan (1825 - Nimes - 1889).Since 1844 pupil of Paris Ecole d. B.-Arts by L.Coignet, Ch.Jalabert.since 1855 exhibited in the Paris Salon.

Inscriptions: signed and dated (18)79 lower right.

Technique: oil on canvas,   original period  gold-plated frame.

Measurements: unframed 23 5/8" x 18 1/2" (60 x 47 cm), framed 31" x 25 1/3" (78,5 x 64,5 cm).

Condition: good cleaned condition, old relining of the canvas.
