Romanitcist landscape in the Roman Campagna with peasants in the front of a path chapel and a ancient aquaduct on the foreground. This large work was executed in the first half of 19th century by an Italian author, it signed by him indistinctly (Collini?).
Inscription: signed indistinctly lower left.
Technique: oil on canvas, hand crafted and gilt wood "Florentine" frame of 19th century.
Measurements: 36 1/4" x 28" (92 x 71 cm), framed 48" x 39 3/4" (122 x 101 cm).
Condition: painting is in good condition, original canvas was professionally restored, there are flamingos of gold leaf on the frame. |
