Genre scene with musketeers resting in a tavern was executed by Austrian painter Carl Duxa (1871-1937). He studied in the studio of Trenkwald at the Vienna Academy. In the end of the 1890s he travelled to North-West Germany and Holland. In 1912 the artist received a Dumba Prize of the Vienna Artists Union.
