Masterfully portrait miniature of a young lady, painted in gouache on  ivory. Due to the hairstyle and costume ir was executed in the first half of 19th century, ca. in 1830-40s.

Inscription: unsigned, on the reverse of the cover - remnants of wax seal.

Technique: gouache on ivory. Original period gold-plated wood frame.

Measurements: unframed w 3 1/2" x h 4 3/4" (9 x 12 cm); framed w 7 7/8" x h 8 2/3" ( 20 x 22 cm ) .

Condition: in good condition.
