Fine miniature portrait from ca. 1840s was created by the renowed Austrian portrait and miniature painter Adolf Theer (1811-1868). Brother of ánother Austrian miniature painters Robert and Alfred Theer, The artist studied at the Vienna Academy and began exhibiting in 1832.
