High quality classical genre scene with two monks by study was executed in 1924 by good listed Austrian genre painter Ludwig Valenta (1893 Vienna- 1943 Rio de Janeiro/Brasilia). He studied at the vienna art Academy. Exhibition in Vienna in 1933. Emigrated to Rio de janeiro in 1939.

Technique: oil on wood panel, Luxuriousy dutch style (hand crafted by famous firma Smolka in Vienna) frame.

Measurements: each unframed w 11 1/2" x 14 1/2" (29 x 37 cm); framed w 18 1/2" x 21 2/3" (47 x 55 cm).

Condition: painting and frame are in good condition
