Due to the similarity of face and unifom with famous imagesit`s , this is portrait of the Grand Duke Alexei Nikolaevich (1904-1918), only son of Russian Tsar Nikolai II in the naval uniform who was killed after russian revolution of 1917.. It is the painting on porcelain plaque by world-famous porcelain workshop KPM Berlin, early 20h century.
Inscription: signed in the middle left, on the reverse pressed KPM eagle mark.
Technique: hand painting on porcelain. Original wooden stand.
Measurements: w 7 1/4" x h 4 2/3" (18,5 x 11,5 cm)
