The events surrounding Rebekah are related to the stories of the parents in Genesis 24-27 EU. Rebekah is the sister of Laban, daughter of the Aramean Betuel (genealogy in Gen 22:23 EU; 24:24-47 EU) and granddaughter of Milcah and Nahor (Abraham's brother who remained in Mesopotamia). She is the great-niece of Abraham, the second niece and wife of Isaac son of Abraham, and mother of the twins Esau and Jacob.
