Two extrem rare polychrome painted male and female oriental figures with water jug was executed ca. in 1870-s by good listed Austrian interior decorator, sculptor and architect Franz Hampel (1834 Buergstein/Bohemia - 1918 Vienna).The artist was student of the Viennese Academy and became known for numerous work in the time of increasing building activity on the occasion of the extension of Vienna, under others with the interior decoration of the Palace Koburg, the east railway station and many distinguished private buildings . On the Viennese World Exhibition in 1873 he took part with a monumental design "Bust of Austria" (15 meters high), whose execution was omitted.
