Original Art Nouveau bronze Lamp with lying nudes created between 1900 -1920s by renowed american-austrian sculptor and medailleur Hans Schaefer (1875 Sternberg/Mähren - 1933 Chicago/USA). The sculptor studied by M: Marschall and Stefan Schwartz in Vienna. After WWI emigrated to USA and was active in Chicago and New York. Works by him situated in : State Collection Vienna (figures of Erzherzog Ferdinand Karl and Erzherzog Rainer and his wife); monument "Kaiser Franz-Josef" in Mährisch-Ostrau; Ntional Gallery in Budapest (King Karol I); Demetriade Monument in Galatz/Romania; portrait medalls.
