High quality watercolour on paper in original period gold-plated frame - portrait of a young lady was executed ca. 1850s by last important Austrian miniature painter from the Biedermeier epoch Georg (Martin Ignaz) Raab (1821 Vienna - 1885). from 1833 to 1837 - pupil of Vienna Fine arts Academy , the artist exhibited his miniature and watercolours in 1837 - 1884 by Austrian Artist Unions "Kunstverein" and "Kuenstlerhaus". Since 1861 - member of "Kuenstlerhaus". He was a court painter by Austrian Royal House created many oil portraits in oil ,watercolour and miniatures of high society and royal house in Vienna and Budapest , incl. portraits of Franz Josef and Elisabeth .
