Nude painting by good listed French painter Maurice JORON (1883-1937). He was pupil of Cormon, member of the Salon of the French artists, he received many medals.
He is very appreciated by amateurs, "who compete for his paintings".

He first became a master glassmaker, according to the wishes of his father.
Then, after an internship at the Arts Décoratifs, he returned to the École des Beaux-Arts but the academic teaching did not suit him.

Thanks to the meeting of a wealthy patron, he visited Europe.
He is a painter of genre scenes, portraits and interiors...

Maurice Joron has a taste for staging in his paintings.

The presence of the curtains in the background of his nude paintings  gives the viewer the impression of watching an intimate scene that does not concern him.
This setting is also a reminder of the works of the Renaissance that he admired during his travels.
