View of a old Dutch town ( probably The Hague, where the artist lived ) was executed in old master manner in the middle of 20th Century by Dutch cityscape painter Leonardus Vrolijk Lorenzer (born 1925 in The Haag). Studied under Henri Taverne . After WW1 studied at the Academy in The Haag. Painted city views, landscapes and still lifes. Settled later in Austria, from where he took his favorite landscape motives. His works are in private collections in USA, Australia, England, Holland, Scandinavia and Austria.
Inscription: signed lower left, on the back of the panel - label with full artist's biography ( in German) and the label of a Viennese frame maker.
Technique: oil on wood panel, wood frame.
Measurements: only image 6 1/4" x 8 7/8" (16 x 22,5 cm), framed 14 1/8" x 16 2/3"(36 x 42,3 cm).
