Large romantical genre painting with a beauty at the water source was executed in 1870 by good listed Austrian portrait, genre and nude painter Franz Russ II (1844 - 1906), the son of the historical painter Franz Russ senior and brother of the painter Robert Russ. Franz Russ studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Vienna under Christian Ruben and worked in Vienna and Paris. His romantical paintings with madonnas and oriental beauties recieved acknowledge among collectors in Europe and USA.

Inscription: signed and dated 1870 lower right, on the back of the stretcher - wax seal of a noble estate.
