Genre painting of a happy drinker was executed in 1924 by German genre painter and illustrator August Roeseler (1866 Hamburg - 1934 Munich). Pupil of Munich Academy under Lindenschmit, worked as genre artist, recieved popularity with with folk scenes and drinker genre paintings. Illustrated famous magazine of the time "Fliegende Blätter".
