The monumental Greek landscape painting (probably with vew of Acropolis in Athen or on island Rodos) was executed ca. in 1860s by listed German romantic landscape painter Franz Emil Krause (1836 - 1900) and was purchased by the last owner from the property of Royal House of Hanover ( important Century-auction of Sotheby´s in the Castle Marienburg by Hanover "Works of Art from the Royal House of Hanover", 5 - 15 October 2005, Lot 1906) . Franz Emil Krause , born1836 in Niededer-Schönhausen by Berlin , died in 1900 in Conway /Wales, England) . The artist exhibited his marine and landscape works in the Berlin Academy Exhibition in 1870-1872. In the City Museum of Riga situated two his works: "English coast" and "Dutch landscape"
