Our genre painting in Art-Nouveau style was painted by an Austrian artist Franz Windhager (1879-1959). In 1895 he studied at the art school of Heinrich Streblow and later continued his studies under Christian Griepenkerl at the painting school of Vienna Academy. The artist travelled a lot and executed a number of works that won many awards (small Gold Medal in 1909 for his work "In winter", Dumba prize in 1918, State Prize in 1931 etc.). Our research proves that the figures on the picture are the artist himself, his friend Adolf Curry, also painter, and the artist´s daughter.
