This typical work by high-listed Austrian landscape painter Carl Franz Emanuel Haunold (1832- Vienna-1911). He studied at the Art Academy in Vienna and from 1854 under the tutelage of Anton Hansch. From 1862 he undertook study travels to Italy, Hungary, Germany and to the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. From 1886 Haunold was a frequent exhibitor at Austrian Art Union, even during his life he was adored for his romantic mountainous landscapes of Tirol and South Tirol. His works are located in noble collections, among them collections of Kardinal Schwarzeberg and Fuerst Schoenburg.
