Josef Weidner (1801 - Vienna - 1870) - renown austrian portrait painter of the biedermeier epoche. Since 1815 he studied at the Vienna Academy. His art was developed under the influence of Friedrich Amerling, Carl Rahl and his brother-in-law Ferdinand Georg Waldmueller. From 1826 to 1847 Weidner exibited his works by Academy Exibition of St. Anna and in 1857 - 1868 - by Exibition of austrian art union and in 1836 in the Berlin Academy. His works represent in museums of Brno, Klausenberg, "Belvedere" in Vienna.
