Masterfull Bacchanalian scene by good listed slovenian artist Paul Franz Kuenl (Pavel Frantisek), born 1817 in Jung-Bunzlau(Bohemia) , died 1871 in Ljubljana(Slovenia). He worked in Ljubljana since 1841 as drawing teacher Later the artist studied in Vienna at the Art academy and after 1844settled in Ljubljana again.His main works were religion and mythological paintings, theater decorations, portraits and landscapes.In the Lexicon by Thieme/Becker indicated that most of his works were destroyed and losed.
