Hunting scene : fight between dogs and deer created in 1864 by one of the best austrian hunting and animal painter Rudolf Carl Huber (1839 - Vienna - 1896). Studied at the academies in Vienna and Duesseldorf, undertook several journeys in the Orient (1875 with L C Mueller, H. Makart and F. von Lenbach to Egypt). Starting from 1880 professor at the art academy in Vienna. By his animal pictures and portraits he became one of the most well-known Austrian painters of the Makart time. Works: numerous animal and hunt representations, portraits of personalities of the Makart time situated in the different german and austrian museums and important private collections.
