Portrait of a lady  created in 1865 by good-listed austrian portrait painter and miniaturist Joseph Nitschner ( born in 1805 in Eggenbug). Pupil of Vienna Art academy , he worked in Vienna in 1850-1860-s and exhibited his works at the Academy in 1832-1848.

Inscription: signed and dated 1865 on the left edge in the middle Technique: oil on canvas. Original period gold-plated  "ochsenaugen" frames.

Measurements: each unframed w 24 3/4" x h 31 1/2" (63 x 80 cm), framed w 31" x h 37 3/4" (79 x 96 cm)

Condition: painting and frame are in very good condition.
