Genre painting by famous German-Austrian painter and sculptor Johann Michael Kupfer ( 1859 Schwabach - 1917 Vienna). His folk genre scenes are very popular among collectors. Our work is oil study by the artist to his famous large painting "Raststunde auf dem Wäschermädelball" (German original tittle). This painting was illustrated in the monography ""Johann michael Kupfer" by Ulrich Distler, Schwabach, 2009, page 49. For comparison of our study and main painting see additional photos.
