Masterfully portrait miniature of a young lady was executed by French female portrait miniaturist Mme Rosalie Renaudin, who was active in Paris in the 1st half of the 19th century. It is made made in style of invented by J.-B. Isabey so-called "portrait aerien" (aerial portrait).
Mme Rosalie Renaudin was a pupil of Anne-Louise Girodet de Roucy Trioson. She was first mentioned in 1805. In Salons of 1819 and 1824 she exhibited her flower paintings, obtaining a medal in 1824. In these years she lived at 12, rue de Castiglione in Paris. From 1836 to 1840 she was mentioned as "peintre en miniature", rue de la Paix, no.4 (Paris).

Inscriptions: signed with proofed monogram R.R. and dated 1828 left middle.
Technique: gouache on ivory, original early 19th century wood frame with inner round gilt bronze matt.
