This flower painting with peonies in a porcelain vase was executed by Louis-Victor Gesta (1828 - Toulouse - 1894 ), good listed French still life painter and glassmaker, founder of the Gesta stained glass factory which, according to its founder, decorated between 7,000 and 8,500 churches. His residence, exhibition space and factory still exists, in part, the Château des Verrières in Toulouse.
