This is how he earned money to support his family. In 1890, Vyacheslav Mykolayovych went to St. Petersburg to continue his studies at the Academy of Arts. The lack of funds and the inability to pay for tuition did not give him the opportunity to study at such a dream university, and he transferred to study at the school of technical drawing of Baron Stieglitz. In 1899 (1900) Kholostenko V.M. graduated with honors and for winning the competition received a trip abroad and a scholarship to improve the level of art education. Worked and studied in France, Holland, Belgium, Italy. After returning to St. Petersburg, he was sent on a business trip to Russia to familiarize and study the ancient monuments of applied art (1901). After returning from a trip to Russia, he started teaching. Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher at the Lodz Manufacturing School. In 1906, the family moved to Berdychiv, Kyiv region, where V. M. Kholostenko. taught in labor schools, real and commercial schools. From 1920 to 1942, he worked in museums, as a teacher at vocational schools, technical schools, and secondary schools in Kyiv.
