Animalistic painting with a hare in the field was executed by German animal and landscape painter Ludwig Sellmayr (1834 - Munich - 1904).
In 1855 Sellmayr studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich, worked and lived in Munich, he was influenced by Anton Braith, later by Johann Friedrich Voltz.
