Masterful portrait of a italian beauty created in 1876 in Rome by very good listed german artist Ockar Begas ( 1828 - Berlin-1883). He was the oldest son of another famous painter Karl Begas (1794-1854). He began his study with 7 years old by his father and with 12 years old was renown portrait painter , his works were high popular . In 1852 he win a Great Prize of Academy in Berlin , recieved travel scholarship for Italy and went to Rome, where he remained until 1854. After his return to Berlin he earned acknowledgment for his portraits as follower of his father by the National Gallery in Berlin . He painted history pictures also and from 1866 monumental paintings for numerous new buildings. After 1870 he made also some successful attempts in the landscape painting.
