Portrait miniature of Austrrian Empress Elisabeth(Sisi), b.1857, d.1898. This fine work was executed in 19th century after famous oil portrait of Elisabeth by Austrian painter Franz Schrotzberg (1811-1889), situated now in a private collection.

Inscription: signed indistinctly lower right.

Technique: gouache on organic wafer, original lacque wood frame with bronze inner frame.

Measurements: image w 2 1/2" x h 3 1/3"( 6,5 x 8,5 cm), framed 4 3/4" x 5 7/8"(12 x 15 cm).
