Masterfully miniature of a young gentleman was executed by good listed French miniature painter Amelie de Lacepede, born Countess Kautz ( 1796 - 1860 Paris). She lived in Paris, exhibited her miniatures and portraits at the Salonfrom 1836 to 1842, amongst others, a watercolour, representing the children of Goeffroy-Saint-Hilire (1838) and portraits of Mlle Henriette Isabey (1839). She painted, finally with a very fresh coloring and blue-greenish shadows. The former Maxime Hóbert Collection, Paris contained a portrait of a hold of the artist, another work , portrait miniature of Helene v. Schulthess-Rechberg is in the Switzerland National Museum, Zurich.
