Oriental scene on the sea coast was executed in the second half of 19th century and due to the close manner was attributed to the hand of renowned French marine, landscape and orient painter Ferdinand Bonheur (1817 - 1887), origin from the famous Bonheur family of artists. He recieved acknowledge for his paintings with motives from Venice, Istanbul, Orient, seascapes with French harbours.
