Still life with summer flowers was executed in the last quarter of 19th century by listed French still life painter, caricaturist and illustrator Charles Gilbert-Martin (1839 Pleine-Selve, Gironde -1905 Paris). A few paintings by him are in Museum Orsay, Paris.
