Masterfully portrait miniature of an Austrian nobleman was executed in 1841 by Johann Michael Sattler ( 1786 Neuberg near Herzogenburg, Lower Austria - 1847 Mattsee, province of Salzburg). Sattler was an Austrian portrait, miniature and landscape painter of the first half of 19th century and creator of the well-known Sattler's Salzburg -Panorama ( now in Panorama Museum Salzburg). Studied at the Fine Art Academy in Vienna under Hubert Mauerer. Since 1819 lived and worked in Salzburg. Painted portrait of Kaiser Franz I in 1824. 1829-1839 - travelled to Europe.
