Panoramic view of a medieval castle on the rock by the river was executed by Austrian landscape and history Painter Ferdinand Lepié, also Ferdinand Lepgé (1824 in Prague - 1883 in Vienna).
Lepié studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts from 1841 to 1844. 1850–1860 he was a teacher at the Strahov Monastery in Prague. One of his students was the later landscape painter Alois Kirnig. He then moved to Vienna and gave drawing lessons at the imperial court.
