Large marine painting "Sea surf" was executed by good listed German painter Patrick von Kalkreuth (1898 in Kiel - 1970 in Starnberg). He was the son of NN. Dunbar and the Elizabeth, née Block (1866–1931). His mother Elisabeth married the second marriage in Hanover in 1931 to the royal Prussian government assessor Dr. legal Richard von Kalckreuth (1878–?), First Lieutenant and Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John.Stepfather Richard von Kalckreuth adopted his wife´s two sons - Patrick, now 36 years old, and the younger Frederik - by contract dated April 4, 1935 at the District Court of Berlin-Charlottenburg.Patrick von Kalckreuth lived in Düsseldorf and Berlin, among other places, but the North Sea inspired his motifs. A landscape and marine painter, he became known for his oil paintings of surf and sea themes.
