Winter village scene with peasants is the original painting by very renown German landscape painter and lithograph artist Anton Doll ( 1826 Munich - 1887 Munich). The artist studied : 1846-49 law, turned as an autodidact to the painting , already 1852 - member of Artist Union in Munich. On journeys around Bavaria and Switzerland he developed Veduten (views) in watercolour ; 1862 he lived in Munich. He trained at the works of Heinrich Bürkel and Michael Neher, on the one hand he painted topographical exact views in oil (also lithographies), on the other hand - frequently night winter paintings with figures , skaters , conveying a special atmosphere, named in German as Genreveduten. This views were already in his time very popular on the art market.
