Portrait of a beauty was executed by French portrait and historical painter Jean Alcide Henri Boichard (born 1817 in Bourges), son and pupil of the genre and landscape painter Henri Joseph Boichard, he lived and worked in Paris and exhibited between 1844 and 1879 at the Salon de Paris.
