This busy market scene at the Ligurian coast was executed by very good listed and high-quoted Italian-Austrian landscape artist Robert Alott (1850 Graz - 1910 Vienna). He studied at the Vienna Art Academy (1868-1873) , travelled and long time lived in Italy and was acknowledged as renown landscape and cityscape painter. Since 1891 he lived in Vienna and exhibited his meditteranian and italian views in Austrian Artist Union .

Inscription: signed lower in the middle, on the back of the stretcher - old Italian inscription of the place: "Via Caracciola, Napoli" and an antique label of the frame producer in Vienna.
