Genre scene with composer Franz Schubert at the piano surrounded by grateful admirers was executed on the turn of 20th century by good listed Austrian painter Rudolf Alfred Hoeger (1877-1930). Favourite topicts of his creative work were genre gallant and folk scenes of the Old Vienna and cities of Wachau region.
