A pair very decorative paintings with flower garlands was executed by Swiss painter Charles Fayod (1857 in Bex/Schweiz - 1932 in Lausanne/Switzerland), he worked also in Nervi/Genua. First as a draftsman for the illustrated botanical- scientific works active, subsequently also as genre, erasure and above all flower painter, like the ones on exhibit. The pictures shown attest: Rhododendrons (1883), Field Flowers (1885), Almond Blossoms (1887), Chrysanthemums (1891), Peonies (1892), Anemones (1912), Autumn Flowers and Fruits (1919). Also paintings with florally decorated fans. F. preferred the watercolor technique. In 1881 he settled in Genoa-Nervi, where in those years there was a "Pensione Fayod" owned by a certain Ernestine Fayod de Charpentier (cf. Guida-Diz. ligure..., S. Margherita Ligure 1888, 655 ). 1896-1901 member of the Soc. Promotrice di BA in Genoa, on whose exhib. he was represented for the last time in 1920 with the painting Spring air..
