. Austrian or bavarian alpine landscape with goats and a lake created by Anton Hlavacek , very well-known Austrian landscape painter of the second half of the 19th - early 20th century. He was born in Vienna in 1842 and studied at the Vienna Academy in 1859-64 as pupil of Franz Steinfeld and Albert Zimmermann. He lived a few years in Germany and from 1869 was again active in Vienna. His paintings were very popular and some of them were aquired to the Austrian Royal Collection. He exhibited regularly in Austria and abroad in Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam etc. His works are displayed at the Austrian Gallery Belvedere and other museums in Austria and abroad.
