Very fine miniature on ivory was executed  around 1800 , signed with monogram M.E. and  depicts a young lady sitting at the tree and preparing a dedication inscription on a wood plate. The inscription  is in French: "A l'Amitie la Reconnaisse" ( in English transcription:  To Friendship through Recognition).

Inscriptions: signed with monogram upper on the edge of miniature, Franch dedication  inscription on the wood plate.

Material: gouache on ivory, original period bronze frame.

Dimensions: image w3” x h3 1/2” (7,5 x 9 cm); framed w 3 1/3” x h 4”(8,4 x 10 cm).

Condition: very good, no any cracks or retouchings.
