”On the way to Hammersbach (Bavarian Highlands) with a view of the mount Zugspitze“ (original artist title), this landscape painting depicts view to the highest German mount Zugspitze of Wetterstein massive in Bavarian Alps. The author of this painting is Czech landscape artist Josef Bedrich Rziwnatz ( 1846 Praque - 1902 Praque). He studied at the Academy in Düsseldorf and worked in Praque but undertook study travels to Bavarian Alps. Our painting is exact from this period. In 1882-1894 exhibited his landscapes from Czech Republic and Bavarian Alps at the exhibitions in Praque: Motive from Partenkirchen, Lake by Zugspitze, Motive from Starembeck lake and others.
