This surrealistic work was executed in 197 by the representative of Viennese Phantastic Realism Moving Diethelm Hofer ( born 1945 in Karlstift (Lower Austria). On the back of the painting is original artist label with the name of artist, dating and original title in German: Verklärung der Eindringlings" ( in English: The Transfiguration of the Invaders).
After extensive travels through Europe, he studied from 1967 to 1973 at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under W. Hutter. He lives as a freelance painter in Vienna.
Based on numerous nature studies, with a preference for shells and snail shells, Hofer arrived at representation variants of a ´mirror of a world of archetypes´, which he, standing in the tradition of the fantastic realists, executes in a surrealistic manner."
