Masterfully miniature on ivory of a French hussar officer was executed in 1818 by good listed French miniature painter Eugenie Despois (1795 - Paris - 1827). She was a wife of the painter Andre Antoine Despois and exhibited her miniatures at the Salon de Paris in 1819 and 1824. Here is a quote from Schidlof: " She was rather clever artist who worked in the style of the pupils of Aubry".
