Portrait of a gentleman with a pipe was executed in 1880 by listed Austrian-Italian painter August Pollak (di Roma). He was born in 1838 in Vienna, died in Rome. Son of the artist Leopold Pollak. Worked in Vienna and since 1871/1872 in Rome. Our painting was executed during his life in Rome.
