Lovely genre painting with mother-cat and her kitten watching a turtle was executed by famous French animal and still life painter Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville (1852 - Paris - 1941). The artist recieved his acknowledge for cat genre paintings and still lifes, worked in Paris, where begun to exhibit since 1879. He became member of Societé des Artistes Français in 1907. His works are in following collections: Louviers, Beziers, Brest and Chateau-Thierry.
