Street scene in a old Italian town by famous Italian painter and watercolorist Giuseppe Canella (1837 Venice - 1913 Padua). Not brother of Carlo C. (Vollmer); often confused with the older Giuseppe C. from Verona. Studied .: from 1857 ABA Venice with Napoleone Nanni; 1860 stipendium. Together with Eugenio Prati stage designer at the Teatro La Fenice. Created portraits, still lifes and landscapes, especially Veduten of Venice in realistic manner. Since 1870 director of the Scuola d´arte decorativa in Padua.
